How To Collect Hitachi Remote Ops Logs For Enterprise Arrays (SVP Agent/Site Manager)

Summary

Hitachi Remote Ops files for Enterprise Arrays can be found in two locations, depending on the configuration.

Objective

Collect Hitachi Remote Ops Logs from Enterprise Arrays (SVP Agent/Site Manager)

Environment

  • All Arrays with a Service Processor (SVP)
  • Hitachi Remote Ops (HRO)
    • HRO Service Processor Agent (HRO SVP Agent)
    • HRO Site Manager

Procedure

Hitachi Remote Ops files can be found in two locations, depending on the configuration.

  1. Collect and upload the following data from the SVP on the affected array:
    1. C:\HDS\Logs (copy the entire Logs directory)
    2. C:\hds\datfiles\Hi-Track.dat
  2. If your configuration also has a Site Manager (HRO instance on a separate Server, monitoring several Arrays/SAN Swithes)
    1. Collect the data from the SVP above along with the following file from the server:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Hitachi Vantara\Hitachi Remote Ops Service Processor Agent\HiTrack.xml
  3. Once all data has been collected, please compress it together to a ZIP file and upload to TUF.

Additional Notes

If the HRO version is ancient (D1 or below) use: C:\Program Files (x86)\Hitachi Data Systems\Hi-Track\HiTrack.xml
