Expedite the troubleshooting process for the most common issues by reviewing and answering the following questions for your product. 

Top Troubleshooting Questions

  1. Please describe, in as much detail as possible, the error or issue that you are facing specifically with your Linux Operating System.
  2. Is it a Storage related issue?  Or software related?
    1. If Storage related, when did the incident occur?
      1. Please provide the time the incident occurred and the current time and date on your host, as well as the subsystem time and date, if able.
  3. If Software related, what version and software make is having the issue?  What issue are you faced with?  (e.g., install, configuration, changes, etc.)
  4. Can you provide a network diagram detailing the paths from the affected host(s) to the storage system? 
    1. Was it a specific host that had an issue or many? 
      1. If so what to what port(s) on the array is the host attached?
      2. What host group on the array port is assigned to the affected host(s)?
  5. If host related, has the OS and/or multipathing vendors been engaged? Please provide us with ticket information and case updates when available.
